It’s time Ramsay came back to the bargaining table with the pay and conditions you deserve!

Through almost two years, three ‘No’ votes, and a powerful protected action campaign, your ANMF NSW/NSWNMA bargaining representatives have been negotiating with Ramsay Health Care for a new workplace agreement.

As part of this campaign, your ANMF NSW representatives have continued to tell Ramsay that nurses and midwives want:

  1. Pay increases that will meet increases in cost of living and ensure Ramsay NSW pay rates are competitive with other private hospitals in the state and the NSW public health system, as well ...

As part of this campaign, your ANMF NSW representatives have continued to tell Ramsay that nurses and midwives want:

  1. Pay increases that will meet increases in cost of living and ensure Ramsay NSW pay rates are competitive with other private hospitals in the state and the NSW public health system, as well as Ramsay QLD nurses and midwives who earn up to 12 per cent more for the same work 
  2. The implementation of a nurse/midwife to patient ratio system, as well as sensible safe staffing reforms like no patient loads for In-Charge nurses and midwives, that will ensure safe minimum levels of staffing in each ward or unit in Ramsay hospitals

While your campaign has pushed Ramsay to agree to a significantly improved pay offer (3.25% from 1 July 2023, 3.25% from 1 July 2024, 3.5% from 1 March 2024, 2.5% from 1 October 2025, and 2.5% from 1 June 2026), Ramsay’s pay offer does not ensure competitiveness with other providers, and they continue to refuse to introduce ratios or any meaningful safe staffing reforms.

You deserve an agreement all members can support – we are calling on Ramsay to come back to the bargaining table as soon as possible and put an improved pay offer on the table, and to genuinely discuss the implementation of ratios and safe staffing reforms in Ramsay hospitals.
